Una de las cosas que más me gustó cuando llegué a Inglaterra fue que todo es bonito. Sonará muy consumista o materialista o todo lo que queráis, pero hay miles y miles de cosas que compraría solo por tener la cajita en la que vienen. Siempre que voy "de tiendas" me apunto varias marcas para luego mirarme todo el catálogo en internet. En mi última visita al centro comercial no compré nada porque habían demasiadas cosas como para poder elegir una. En fin, que para el que tenga dinero, espacio, tiempo y gente con quien compartirlo tiene que ser una gozada. Hay muchas cosas que ya he descubierto y que ahora no me vienen a la mente así que allá voy con las más recientes.
La especialidad de Harney & Sons es el té, aunque también tienen dulces, galletitas, mermeladas y demás amigos de la hora del té. El packaging es elegante, nada recargado, limpio y parece bastante funcional. Todavía no he tenido la oportunidad de probar sus productos pero me temo que no tardaré mucho porque se me está acabando el té. Por cierto, que el té que aún tengo desde Navidad es también especial. Lo compré como regalo (para mi y Mr Glass y otro para mi querida mamá) porque venía en una "lata" con un elefante muy bonito, la marca es Williamson Tea y la verdad es que es un té delicioso. Me he hecho bastante té-adicta, aunque en un principio no me gustaba la idea de mezclar té con leche.
Luego están las cosas de papelería, que eso si que me pierde (mis genes maternos). He tenido la suerte de conocer a otra locaficionada de la papelería y no me siento tan rara. Así que de vez en cuando puedo hablar de marcas de bolis, de libretas, de pegatinas y de papelerías que son para nosotras como una mega-tienda de golosinas. Así que voy a centrarme en el descubrimiento que más me ha llamado la atención últimamente: Madeleine Floyd . Me he enamorado de sus ilustraciones y cómo no, de los productos que venden de ella en Temptation Gifts . Lo que atrajo mi ojo fueron las libretas de pájaros y huevos, preciosas. Son demasiado caras para mi bolsillo pero las pondré en mi "wish list" para mi cumpleaños.
Pasando a cosas más dulces, tenemos a Charbonnel et Walker, de los que he comprado alguna cosa pero no para mí, así que no puedo decir mi opinión sobre el sabor. Si os pasáis por su web veréis porqué lo elegí como regalo. Hay mucha diferencia entre acabarte unos bombones deliciosos y quedarte triste como una patata o acabarte unos bombones deliciosos y tener en las manos una caja preciosa para llenarla de pequeños tesoros. Para mí es un regalo perfecto, pues si, lo voy a poner en mi "wish list".

DISCOVERING...
One of the things that I liked the most when I arrived to England was that everything is beautiful. Maybe it sounds very consumerist or materialistic or whatever, but there are thousands and thousands of things which I'd buy only for the packaging. Always, when I go shopping I write down some brands and then I look it up on the Internet. In my last visit to the shopping centre I didn't buy anything because there were so many nice things so I couldn't choose one. Anyway, who has money, a spacious house, free time and someone to share this kind of things it has to be delight. There are lots of things I've already discovered but now they don't come to my mind, so there we go with the newest.It might be you know Harney & Sons brand and their teas, although they also have sweets, cookies, jam and others tea's hour friends. The packaging is elegant, simple, clean and looks very useful. I haven't had the chance of try their product yet, but I'm afraid I won't be too long trying it (because my tea pot is getting empty). By the way, I already have a special tea from Christmas and it's delicious. I bought it as a present (for me and Mr Glass and another one for my darling mum) because it was packaged in a "tin" with a gorgeous elephant in it. It's a Williamson Tea brand and the truth is that this tea is delicious. I'm now a tea addict, although in a first time I didn't like the idea of mix up tea with milk.
Then we have the stationery stuff, which is my downfall (my mum's gene). I've had the luck of meeting a "stationery-friend" here and now I don't feel so weird. So, time to time I can speak about pen's brands, notebooks, stickers and cute stationery shops which are like huge candy shops for us. Let's focus in the most important discovery lately: Madeleine Floyd. I have fallen in love with her illustrations and -it couldn't be in other way- with her products that are sold in Temptation Gifts. I liked so much the birds and eggs notebooks, awesome. It's too much expensive for my pocket but I'm putting them in my "wish list" for my birthday (22nd August, if you want to have a detail with me).
Going on to sweeter things, we have Charbonnel et Walker. I bought something of this brand but not for me, so I can't say my opinion about the taste. If you take a look in their web site you can see why I chose their product as a gift. There is a lot of difference between finish a delightful chocolates and stay sad as a boiled potato OR finish a delightful chocolates and have in your hands a lovely box. For me it's a perfect present. You can keep all your little treasures in a box which always remember you a delicious "chocolate-moment". Oh, yes, I'll put it in my "wish list" too.
